Voice mail from two houses to one mailbox?

Hork

Wasn't sure where to post this, but figure someone here might have some insight...

I have home offices in two different homes. I'll be getting a second line for my work in both offices, and each line will have all the features such as busy call forwarding, etc... . Does anyone know of a way I can get voice mail from the lines in both offices in the same voice mailbox?

I'm assuming I'd need to use a service instead of a machine to do this?

iirc if you're service has a voicemail foward feature you just foward it all to the number you want. I think some machines can do it but I'm not up to date on answering machine technology so I can't say.

Look in your yellow pages under 'Telephone Answering Services'.

We use one of them at work and all our calls are forwarded to the service where you can either leave a voice mail for anyone or speak to an operator (avail 24/7 as we need that facility for emergency responses - the operator, upon receiving a call, starts to locate one of us in a pecking order of our choice). We can take the phones 'off service' or put them 'on service' whenever we want.

They charge us $15 per voicemail box and $1 per call the operator takes but I'm sure you can shop around for the price / level of services you are looking for.
