Voice exercises?

I lose my voice fairly easily when I have to yell or speak loudly. Today I was talking (really yelling) to my Junior class in our auditorium informing them about a new fund raiser, and towards the end I couldn't really yell anymore. I wasn't talking for that long either. I have noticed this in other situations too. It this something that cant be fixed or its in my genes? What can be done to help with this?

Do it more and you will get better

read up on proper singing technique too... support, and dont talk out of your throat or nose (open up), it just makes more work

yeah, I had the same thing happen to me when I was younger

just try to talk less and keep your voice down and
don't worry about it, it will go away in a few years

17. I have a booming deep voice. Mabye that has someting to do with it. I guess it has sort of been getting better though (the voice crapping out on me)

EDIT: In fact, besides the nickname of mine, "Sexy bastard", I have always been called "Boomer".
