Voice dictation on a blackberry?

So I'm pretty sure it's actually impossible to record a voice message on a blackberry and mail it to a PA, and there isn't any third party software that allows this either. Please correct me if I'm wrong! I've seen some ropey hardware accessory that's supposed to do speech to text but I don't believe it works on the model we are using...

So what are the alternatives? I saw this system whereby you phone this third party number, record a message and they compress the audio and e-mail the message to a pre-defined e-mail address. However, you need a specific model of phone for this and it only works in the US. Does anyone know of a system that would work in the UK & worldwide?

Any other half sensible methods of creating a <5 minute voice recording, then mailing it to an address would be proper handy, also. This recording preferably would be from a mobile ('cell') phone.

Thanks in advance.

yeah, some director wants to dictate a bunch of crap then send it to his PA who will then write it up on headed paper and mail it to the relevant people, or something like that... he wants to be able to do this on the road.
