Voice dialog too low, everything else too loud...

I picked up a Yamaha Rx-a760 and a klipsch 10" reference sub. I have 5 additional speakers (Energy Take mini series). Hooked everything up last night, including my htpc, with cable and htpc running through the receiver, and the receiver outputting to my tv. Decided to try a movie to see how things sound, and voices are too low, while explosions etc are too loud. I'm constantly adjusting the volume. Any thoughts or remedies I can try to fix this?

Edit: Found a few solutions to try out. Mod can delete...

Does it have Audyssey?
Change Sound Mode.
Turn up center channel

I think it does. Im not home but found that turning up the center channel should help or fix the issue. Thanks. Will try when I get home tonight.

Who is doing the audio decode? Is the PC decoding it (every channel is sent to the receiver individually) or is it being bitstreamed to the receiver?

Is there a way to determine this? I just have 1 hdmi from htpc to receiver. FWIW I raised the center channel level and it sounds much more balanced.

Your receiver should let you know if its receiving a PCM stream, or it will show the codec name in the window.
