voice-activated mp3-player mini PC ?

EyeOfThe

Senior member
Hi,

I'm looking for a solution for a blind friend. Does anyone have any info on voice-activated (or at least remote control friendly and speaking) mp3 player software?
and any good links on how to build a PC for this purpose?

Thanks

You can probably use voice activation software with something like Girder to automate just about any task... I know there are plugins for Winamp (and probably most common audio players; you can also create mouse/keyboard macros yourself).

Don't know anything about talking MP3 players, though.

You don't need any special hardware beyond a sound card; everything is done in software.
