I have a Chaintech VNF4 Ultra MB that decided to die on my this morning. It booted to the windows login fine and then restarted and made a series of single long beeps.

I rebooted it and it booted fine into windows and then went to a black screen with 554D.9.7.1.A502. No idea what that was.

Rebooted again and it booted into windows. Almost loaded all the way up and then got an application error and froze. Ever since it wont even post, just does the single long beep thing.

I tried resetting the CMOS with no change. Is it dead?

Also could I get some replacement board suggestions? I don't need anything too fancy, no SLI needed, no O/C. Here is my current setup

AMD 3200+ 64bit
Enermax 420W PS
Asus X800XL PCI-e Video Card
2x512mb Corsair Value Select PC3200
Chaintech VNF4 Ultra Zenith Value Edition

I was looking at the DFI Lan Party Series, but is that overkill for my current config?

My VNF4 Ultra died about 6 months ago after about 14 months. It was always kinda fussy and would often give me the long beeps and not boot during its life. Usually clearing the CMOS would get it to boot backup and it would work for awhile. One day it decided it would no longer run both of my 1gb sticks of ram (in single or dual channel), so I removed one and it seemed to be ok with one stick. About 2 weeks later it finally bit the dust- it locked up and I got the long single beep everytime I tried to turn it back on. I ended up buying an epox 9NPA3 ultra to replace it and everything worked fine (I did have to reinstall windows though even though I just switched out on nf4ultra for another).
