Yeesh - having a hard time getting going on an nForce4 platform. If I enable USB suppot in BIOS my scsi controller shows "cannot load ROM" message and system is dog slow with 100% cpu usage. If I disable USB support everything is fine but I must use a PS2 mouse which is not going to cut it for me.

There is an IRQ conflict shown in the POST screen but I cannot resolve it. Reserving the IRQ just bumps the conflict to another IRQ. I have been struggling with this for several days. No matter how I configure the system I do not see a mousepointer.

Googling and searching does not yield any solutions.

Any ideas? I'm about to RMA this, evening paying a restocking fee, just out of frustration.

What mobo & scsi adapter specificially do you have ?

I just got screwed w/ a DOA a8n-sli, the damm thing won't even post...
I'm about to order a Chaintech VNF4, I have a 29169N scsi card. What slots did you try ?

My system would be similar to yours w/ a sblive & 29140N.

Is your mouse the only usb device ??

But you say all's fine if you use a ps2 mouse, did you flash to the latest bios ver 2 ??

I feel your pain......

Jose
