vnetbios.vxd error on startup in win98

getting this error message on start up after a clean install of 98, says something about missing this file, uninstall and reinstall the program!!I haven't installed anything.!I looked for the file on the win 98 cd and it wasn't on there.If I do a regedit it finds it in the registry!Should I delete it outta the registry??
any one help me on this??

it didn't have errors installing? i've got this before, but it was because it froze when it was installing network card drivers.
reinstall everything in network properties (ie tcp/ip, your network card, dialup adapter (if applicable)) then it should be fixed

the really only thing i tried to install was a POS old rockwell v.34 33.6 modem!!
then it was a pain just to find the drivers!!
