VNC type programs.

Anyone know of other programs like VNC that let you remotely control a pc. I wanted to use it for a jukebox I was building for my dorm. The problem is that it doesnt let you transfer files from one computer to another drag and drop style. Anyone know of another program, addon, plugin, etc that I could do that with?

I don't know about VNC, but, since you seem to have Windows networking going, you can use the Explorer to move files from one computer to another then use VNC to start the remote player.

if your using winXP (win2000 also i belive) ,it's easy to just make a shortcut , on your desktop , directly to a folder on the other comp you can drag\drop to.

Try this. It's basically VNC with file transfers.

I tried VNC and terminal services for my mp3-server, and eventually decided WindowsXP's Remote Desktop is the best option.

Much faster than VNC, and can leave the sound output at the server (unlike win2k servers TS)
