VNC, OS X, SSH...

I'm trying to VNC into an OS X machine, tunneled over SSH. I haven't quite perfected the tunneling (I can do it, but I can't do if i enable local access only).

Anyway, the main question is... is there any way to disable the screen output on the server end of the connection (the OS X box in this case)? Very much like how remote desktop works in the windows world.

Appreciate any help.
