Win 8.0 x64 Guest os Win 7 sp 1 x64 Host VM Player 5 with latest corresponding VMTools. A ton of possibly relevant Belarc Advisor specs from both os'es follow at the bottom. All my USB 3.0 external HDDs show correctly under the VMware Player removable Devices, but will not connect. The error msg references the correct device name, but only also says "Driver error" for each when I try to connect from either USB 3.0 port on my laptop. They all connect on my USB 2.0 ports. Cannot figure out how to get them hooked USB 3.0 The drives are : Corsair 64GB USB 3.0 flash drive & LaCie Minimus 2TB USB 3.0 external HDD.
