I installed win2k pro on a VM and getting the "your system is running low on virtual memory"

I only have firefox running it.. and the regular processes that load with the windows.

what should I do to fix this?

I have it installed on a winxp pro machine 3.20ghz and 2gb ram.

on the VM I have the memory set to use 512.. not sure what I should tweak?

Your message wasn't clear, but I assume the guest is giving you the low VM message.

Did you configure a page file in the guest OS?

no, it's just the default setup.

not sure how to do that.
........
hm.. i looked it up and went to performance settings and set the intial size to 1000mb and the max to 1400mb on C: ..should I make a separate partition to put the page file on? or does it matter since it's the same hdd.

and maximum registry size is 88mb ..not sure if that matters

That looks fine.

The next time you get a low VM message, check the task manager and look at the peak commit charge. You may have an application that's leaking memory.
