had a look at some benches before it was taken down. seemed competitive to a 980ti in stock form, but didnt beat it by much if at all in the ones i saw.

Yeah I got a view of the Witcher 3 4K (the game I currently care about) and it has a decent edge on 980 ti. They focused a lot on OC benchmarks, I don't usually bother overclocking my graphics cards. I prefer to have stability over a couple frames more performance. However it leaves me with some questions:

1. Is the overclock they showed on the 980 ti easily obtainable without raising voltages and messing around alot? Stock cooling?

2. Was that tiny overclock all they could squeeze out of the R9 Fury X? The card is watercooled, I would think it could OC a bit more.

it was large. over 1300mhz, titan was over 1200. Assuming they were both non boosted clocks.

the 980 oc was over 1300 mhz to and was biting at the heels of the furyx stock.

LOL

Only a few hours to go for useful reviews. 😀

As sad as this review is for consistency (they probably did 1 pass?) at least they showed stock and OC for most cards.

Why don't all sites do this?

Ryan Smith, why do you not show OC of all competing cards?

I like that this site does this. The numbers they have are questionable, but thank you for showing OC vs Stock for a multitude of cards.

Will Ryan Smith in a few hours show us OC of 980 Ti and Titan X and Fury X and lower performing cards?

Doubtful.

Prove me wrong, Mr. Smith. Punish me if you have OC and Stock for Fury X, Titan X, 980 Ti, 980, and at least another card. I dare you to match a nobody, inconsistent Asian site.

I don't like when sites do this, especially for a new GPU launch. It muddies the water in part because OC'ing is never a sure thing. Stock versus stock, OC'd for all cards in a separate article.

I'd rather have a comprehensive review for both stock and OC than to separate the two. It's not that hard to figure out what's what since it's documented.

Who's Ryan Smith? Why are you after his life?lol!!

Only 5 hours to go..

I have a feeling these guys used an old driver or botched their runs. The numbers don't seem right--I thought I was looking at 390x numbers rather than Fury.

AT did OC their Titan X review sample but it's true that most sites barely dedicate a page to OC results and they are typically very underwhelming.

Im patiently waiting for Amd fanboys excuses for another fail...

hint: yes but it runs cooler, yes but its smaller, yes but wait for windows 10 hotfix which will release full power...etc.

Infraction issued for trolling.

Let's wait for benchmarks from a proper review site before labeling the Fury a 'fail', please.

Infraction reversed, because of this:

Don't even waste your time reporting any more posts here until you start setting a better example in your own posting, hypocrites.

You know what? You're right, I stand corrected. I'll see to it that, based on your complaint, the moderation here is doled out impartially and fairly.
