VLC player time-seek jumpy...

I really like the VLC player but for one problem... when I want to jump a scene, I have to drag the slider over for it to manually seek to that location, otherwise it jumps too far behind or ahead of where I want to seek to. Anyone know of a way to fix it to work like WMP?
