Vlc fronted

Anyone know of some sort of front end that improves the look of it for say displaying or choosing your media, similar to media center? On windows FYI.

Perhaps check out available skins, I'm not sure how close it will get you to what you are looking for

VLC has a built in HTTP interface. There might be some user created HTTP interfaces available as well (I'm not 100%, I've never checked). You could even build your own if you wanted. Not ideal for a native client solution, but potentially better than nothing. And a whole lot easier than modifying the VLC client itself.
