I thought there was something badly wrong with this machine til I read one of the recent posts. I mean, nearly 2 days on a Cel2 600@675 256MB CAS2 RAM!😱

Send it to poof, she's got a Linux box running on an Alpha that will make quick work of it ;-) (Linux deals with Vlars better, and alphas simply just rule).

LOL!

Dantoo - you could install Linux and run through one of those puppies in no time. 😉

BTW... I heard tell that a pile of VLARs were coming through into people's queues.

(/me runs off to check her Setiqueue... 😉)

I'll save it til I get all my machines back, there's a linux box in there somewhere. I've just isolated the work unit. Should I have pulled any of the other files out as well?

Heh, the new one is just flying through compared to that puppy! 😀

Dantoo - I don't think you need anything else with it. When you're ready to run it on linux, just put it in a directory with the linux binary and your user_info.sah, and let 'er rip! 🙂

I've thought about deleting VLAR's from my queue and actually done it one or two times.😱 However, in the spirit the project and good will of competition I have decided that I will process every wu they send me no matter how long it takes.

Win2k also does a better job of handling VLAR's. If you have multiple systems (with at least one a 2k box) on a network you can set up VLAR routing with setiqueue and it will automatically send VLAR's to your 2k boxes.
