Vizio Tablet

Just came back from Costco and they had a stack of these things for $284. Seeing them today was first I had heard about them. Had just skimmed a bit of info, the remote capability part of it seems rather interesting.

at those specs, it'll have to be priced much lower than that. for that price, you could've snagged an ASUS transformer last week, or an HP touchpad this week.

reviews aren't stellar either, many complaints about laggy UI and general slowness (you can install LPP or ADW.ex to fix the lag though).

if logitech is smart, it should come out with a 7 or 5 inch tablet to replace the aging Harmony remote. control all the AV components and be able to surf the web or do other stuff. i know i am not the only one who plays around with my phone while watching a movie or waiting for dumb commercials to be over.

I would love to replace my Harmony remote with something like you describe. Bluetooth enabled, on screen keyboard, and timer functions to turn on and off devices would be awesome.

Yeah I'd buy one of those too. Be nice if most tablets had IR interfaces and they could just make it an app since I'm not sure Logitech would update the hardware to keep pace with a normal tablet by the time I'm ready to buy one
