Close but not quite. VIVO comes from the Spanish verb "vivir" which means in English "to live". The "O" at the end signifies that it is an "I-statement" meaning "I live".

I hope that clears things up.

That is a nice explanation and a true one and I believe
it applies in the world but when it comes to video cards
specifically to my Radeon 64Meg DDR VIVO it says in the
manual that it's a short for Video In/Video Out.
