VIVO vs TV Tuner, is it worth it?

I'm looking to buy a 7800gtx and have the option of getting vivo for $40 more. I'm wondering if the vivo option is worth it for the money or I plan on using something to act like a tv tuner (record hdtv). Or is it better to get the cheaper non-vivo version and buy a seperate tv tuner?
 
You can't record HDTV with a VIVO card or a standard tuner; all you can use to get HDTV on a pc is an over-the-air HDTV card.
