VIVO Video cards Geforce 2 Ti or Geforce 3 Ti200

I am looking for a video card with VIVO to replace my geforce 2 mx, my friend had a radeon 64ddr VIVO and I really liked the VIVO feature because the picture is much sharper than a cheap tv tuner card with video in, so VIVO is something I want in my next card.

But I didn't want to get the radeon since the ati driver and the 3d quality seems to be inferior to nvidia, so I prefer a geforce

I have a celeron 600 system , and I don't need a top performing card like the Geforce 3 and Ti500, so i am looking at the geforce 2 ti/pro

I found the Gainward geforce2 ti500xp ($140)and the MSI G2Ti PRO-VTG (MS-8836) ($130) with VIVO, I heard that the Gainward has better OC capibility and 2d performance, so I might go with the gainward for a geforce 2 Ti

but should I get a geforce 3 ti200? I might upgrade my cpu within a month or two, so the Ti200 seems like a good deal too.

but the only board that might have VIVO is the MSI G3Ti200 PRO (MS-8851) (it shows it in the picture on the website, but no mentioning at all in the specs) and I can't find any vendor that sells this card, does anyone know any ti200 board with VIVO? or should I just stick with the geforce 2 ti.

Thanks in advance

I have been thinking of an upgrade myself, I'm currently using a Radeon 64Mb VIVO.

IMO the GeForce3 200 Ti seems to be the best deal. It is a bit more expensive that the GeForce2 Ti/Pro but it is worth it (and it's still $200 or under). Even though a lot of the features are not used yet, I'm thinking DX8 here, you might as well have them if you are going to upgrade today. The way hardware has advanced over software a GF3 should be good for a couple of years and I think you will see titles that make this card shine next year.

If you like your friends 2D quality then switch from a GF card to another GF card isn't going to help you. I haven't heard of any Radeon driver problems other than the 8500, which is extremely new still. Although I don't know of any Radeon with VIVO other than the 64 meg orginals, which aren't too fast.
