Hi, are the quality the same for GF4 Ti-4200 and Ti-4600?

and i want to talk about the quality of the video in?

is it good? or should i buy a ti with only tv out and get another input card?

ps. not going to do whole bunch of expert editing. just a basic home user

thanks

In my personal opinion, the video-in feature on my geforce 4 is a complete waste. It is not really that good. My experience is based on capturing video from a HI-8 camcorder with both an analog input and a s-video input cable. The s-video is better, but the bottom 1/12th of the screen is wavey like the distortion in a mirror that is bent. It actually looks fine if you could cut off the bottom. The other big problem that I have found and I don't know if computer speed has anything to do with it, but when you actually try to record some thing and play it back it is choppy and low quality compared to just playing it straight from the input source to the screen. I am not a big video-in guru and may have some settings not set quite right, but after trying for a few weeks straight to get it to look good, I gave up. Video out is great though. It playes my dvd's just as good as my set top dvd player, unless your trying to use nview and then it gets ugly. Hope this helps
