 I'm trying to install VIVO codecs for an old card and the installation program from nvidia won't launch. A message pops up when you go to run the .exe file that says to turn off all antivirus programs then push the yes button to start. There are no antivirus programs on my system, so I push the yes button and nothing happens.
The card is an MSI, and I can't seem to get much help at the MSI forums and nvidia doesn't have anywhere to ask my question that I could see. So I'm hoping to get an embarrasingly simple answer to my question. I'm using win98se, abit bh6 mb, celeron 1.4gig from powerup, wd 60gig harddrive, 564 megs of ram, creative sound card. Thanks for any help you can give.

Are you using MSI's drivers or Nvidias drivers. Use Nvidias no matter what, as they are reference drivers.

Also next thing is make sure you are dlding the right drivers if it is VIVO make sure it is the VIVO drivers it is VIVO ad TV make sure you dld those drivers.

And the next step is ditch WIN98SE for godsakes!! Why in the world are you still running it!?!?!?

Thanks for the quick response Gamingphreek. I'm "trying" to use the nvidia VIVO drivers w/o the tv directly from the nvidia site. Just for grins I even tried to use the one for tv just to see if it would open and it behaves in exactly the same manner. I've never ever encountered anything like it. As for win98, I've had no reason to upgrade since the most graphic intensive games I have are counterstrike:condition zero and BFVN and they play fine.
