Sorry if this is a repost.... searched but didn't see it.

It was advertised on the front page of this weeks flyer (along with the apex 20" flat stereo TV that has a thread).

3.3 megapixel digital camera w/8mb internal + optional SD/MMC (not included), flash, 1.5" lcd, movie-mode
slide lens cover

ad says 2x digital, specs at vivitar say 4x digital

Going rate on this camera is $130 at amazon, so it seems like a pretty warm deal.
Good reviews from buyers at amazon

Any links to a site for reviews on this camera (other than Amazon)?

-Thanks

Wasn't this camera on sale during their thanksgiving black friday promotion?

I'm pretty sure a friend of mine bought it then.

Don't use the digital zoom... other than that she loves it.

OK, I went to get this camera earlier in the morning, and they were sold out, so I was gonna put it on raincheck. However, if you look at the reciept, it says that you can do a subsitution. That means you can buy another camera for 33% off. I ened up walking out the door with a Fuji FinePix A205 for $84.xx.

Oh yeah, the vivitar is 3.3 MP, but the Fuji is 2 MP. The Vivitar, however, seemed ok at best and one review i read complained about burning fumes from the camera. I decided not to wait on the Vivitar b/c you know the saying, you get what you pay for.

Nice substitution! Is that 33% off _ANY_ camera, or "a similarly priced" camera?

Do you/anyone know more about the raincheck sub policy? Is it a fixed 33% or does it depend on the item?
(I'm interested in a new TV -- but not a 20" -- and I'm pretty sure my target is out of their sale-Apex-20", so if
i could get a deal on a 30" TV, that would be great)

I have a copy of a raincheck for the TV...

CHOOSE A SUBSTITUTE: Choose a substitute and receive the same percentage off (listed above) on a regular-priced item within the same product category (i.e. TV for TV, doll for doll, shirt for shirt).

So you can get the same percentage off ANY TV, but it'll only be 8% cause that's the same markdown on the Apex 20".

Just got back from Target and the 33% off applies to ALL digital cameras. I walked out with a 5mp camera for $212 including tax! Just be nice to the people at the electronics counter and point out that the discount applies to the Product Category which means to ANY digital camera.

Like always Good luck and YMMV!

Picked up my rain check today.

I wish my Target had more digital cameras to choose from to make this hot. I want one with 6x or better zoom and they have the Fuji 3800 so I might grab that or check out what the other Targets near me have. Wish they had the C-740 in store like they have on their website.

BTW which 5MP digicam did you get?

Depending on your time-zone... if it's Saturday and your Target is still open, RUN!
As you've probably noticed, the spin-off on this hot-deal is hoping they are OOS, get a raincheck, and then
you can apply the 33% discount on any camera of your choice! Lots of people opting for the Sony dsc-whatever 5MP cam w/3X optical or the Canon A70 or some other Fuji one... i forget which.

Good luck!
