I live in Vegas, I'm a professional gambler and this is a fun story but its really not that out of the ordinary.
I've seen guys playing craps with literally a million dollars in play

yeah, I'm sure it happens. But this was at a 10 dollar table. LOL.

What's your game? Poker?

poker and sports, used to be involved with some online gaming companies until the law changed in October

yes when the high rollers come down to the low stakes tables, its always fun. unless its one of those guys who bet 5k on the don't while the rest of the $10 table is betting pass and having fun

Yeah, I guess that was what made it that much more fun. I kept telling my girl - "there is NOTHING like a craps table when it is hot." She got to play and learn a little and still says that was the most fun she had all trip. Told her to just play safe - pass line with odds, 6/8. That way she didn't lose too much too quick, just keep in the game.

After about an hour we had an entire audience watching. It was a blast. I had my james bond moment and it was good.

If I'm not mistaken, there are four (4) types of professional gamblers in Las Vegas:

#1 Poker players
#2 Sports bettors
#3 Blackjack players (becoming rare these days)
#4 Video poker players (becoming rare these days as well)

On every other game in the casino, the math just slowly kills the players bankroll.

Nice work with the win op! Viva.

Ah now it makes sense. You didnt mention anything about getting money out of this for yourself in your first post. 😀

I figured it was sort of implied.

But it did feel really good to help UK dude out. I told him that if he wanted to learn how to play the casino could give him lessons, etc. Then I wanted to go play and just figured - hey, this guy wants to learn...tables are slow, I'll help him out.

It was hilarious...I went back and quickly said "hey, I'll teach ya...wanna play some craps?" He had this giddy look at his wife of "can I go out an' play?? huh? I wanna play?" He had such a good time and just lit up from ear to ear with his smiles on being a "part of it". My girl even noticed it...she said "you just made his vacation".

No he'll probably take that $300 he won, dump his wife and blow it all on hookers and beer. You just ruined his life.

Sounds like he did him a huge favor then. 😀

You're probably correct. Poker and sports have some kind of player control...you're not playing against the house.
