Viva Las Vegas!

spidey07

No Lifer
Spent the week in vegas. Was talking to a couple from UK and he asked me about gambling/craps and how to play. Figured I'd do my good deed for the day and show him how to play. He got the nod from the wife and off to the craps table we go. Spent about an hour with him and he turned 40 into 300 in an hour. Good for him, happy to help.

But here's the kicker. Later that night some rock star looking guy came to the table spouting off "gimme 20 large". Puts his ID down and within 60 seconds had 20K in chips to play, shortly followed by the credit slip to sign (while he's already playing with it).

This guy was playing 2-5K per game! And hitting it! About 2 hours later he leaves and I watch them color around 80K. Not bad for 2 hours of work.

So it looks like Karma does exist. Help somebody out and ye shall be rewarded.

Man it was nuts. I've never seen that kind of action on a craps table. This guy was ordering around the bosses like you wouldn't believe. Within minutes the "big boss" was over at the table with two others essentially bending over backwards for the guy. Then come the women.

Was like something out of a james bond movie. No single bet was less than 1,000.

It's just wild to see somebody walk up to a table and say "gimme 20 large" and BAM! There it is.

I'm confused. Why does Karma benefit the rich rockstar looking guy from your good deed.

Because my good deed helped out UK dude. Table was kinda dull until rockstar showed up. After that the table was super hot with lots of action. He turned 20K into 80. Meaning I probably did pretty well to. I asked what he wanted me to shoot, he tipped me a grand after I made him some money.

-edit-
To make it more simple. Showed a visitor who just arrived from the UK how to play at a dull table, after that it was hotter than a volcano.

Wait, what? 😕

Cliffs: Spidey offered his services out of kindness to a few guys, got a big tip, and went home with more money and happy thoughts than ever before. Probably scored their phone numbers too

heh, maybe not clear enough.

1) help guy learn how to play craps as he's just arrived and waiting for his room.
2) He takes his winnings and goes back to wife simply ecstatic at learning how to play craps and having some play money. In this I am happy that I helped a tourist to our country and showed him some hospitality.
3) Table is dull, rockstar shows up
4) Table then gets on freakin fire and makes me a ton of money plus some crumbs from rockstar.

I do good deed, I am rewarded financially. Make sense?

Ah now it makes sense. You didnt mention anything about getting money out of this for yourself in your first post. 😀

I figured it was sort of implied.

But it did feel really good to help UK dude out. I told him that if he wanted to learn how to play the casino could give him lessons, etc. Then I wanted to go play and just figured - hey, this guy wants to learn...tables are slow, I'll help him out.

It was hilarious...I went back and quickly said "hey, I'll teach ya...wanna play some craps?" He had this giddy look at his wife of "can I go out an' play?? huh? I wanna play?" He had such a good time and just lit up from ear to ear with his smiles on being a "part of it". My girl even noticed it...she said "you just made his vacation".

No he'll probably take that $300 he won, dump his wife and blow it all on hookers and beer. You just ruined his life.

Correct. I held the dice for a good 25 minutes. Plus a couple strings of 7/11 when rockstar had 5K on the pass line. So 4 straight 7s got him 20K in about 60 seconds.

How much did you walk away with?

That night was around 3000. The whole trip was uncanny. Never left a game down (well there were two blackjack tables on the first day I left a little down), always up. Girl was calling me "Midas" by mid week.

I live in Vegas, I'm a professional gambler and this is a fun story but its really not that out of the ordinary.
I've seen guys playing craps with literally a million dollars in play
