Vitamin supplement recommendations?

If you're knowledgable in vitamins & minerals, I'd like to hear what brands you do and don't recommend, and where you buy. I'll be buying a multi, ester C, B-50, GTF chromium and maybe some calcium & magnesium.

What multi vitamin do you use (please, no Centrum, One-A-Dat, Flinstones, etc.)? The last multi I used was Natrol My Favorite Multiple but after awhile it started to make me feel sick after I took one. Maybe they went bad prematurely? They had black spots but weren't out of date. Else maybe I was getting too much of one of the ingredients. I also used Natrol Ester C 500 with Bioflavanoids and Twinlab B-50 Complex (no problems).

The cheapest place I've found is www.webvitamins.com, which I was planning to use again. Nice people too.
L&H Vitamins was unfriendly last time I spoke with them.

There's a new Vitamin Shoppe that opened here so I thought of trying them when I only need 1 or 2 things. The prices I've checked there (from their .com) seem the same or cheaper (but 9.25% tax, uggh) than Arizona Health Foods, another mail order company I've used. What about the Vitamin Shoppe's own brand?

I just take a generic multivitamin that has 100% USRDA of everything. I'm not currently taking any weird amino acid or chromium piccolinate supplements, though I might consider it in the future, as they've had a beneficial impact in the past.

they best on the market today is the GNC Ultra Mega Gold, now tis 2 pills a day, but it has everything and more, it also has digestive enzymes, so its not as harsh on your stomach. and watch out for multi vits that have only 100% of the daily value, cuz never does your body absorb all of the vit, so there for you get less than 100%, but also int he Ultra Mega Gold, it has a good number of B-Vitimans help u with energy, metabolise carbs and stuff like that. Best on the Market, thats the one I take, also helps me sleep better, don;t really know y, but it does.

scroll down to see the amount of the vits in it
