Every time I restart my computer I get a Boot/BCD error. It gives me error code 0xc000000f. I use system repair, it finds the problem and I restart. This is a fresh install, and it keeps doing this. Any ideas?
Go to the manufactures web page for your HDD and download the software they offer for checking the HDD. Also run Memtest to see if your RAM is OK. There could be a problem with either of those components. A bad HDD may not be storing information correctly causing the problems or bad RAm may be currupting the information before its writen back to the HDD.
So I downloaded an ran the long scan with Seagate Tools and after several hours of running it checked out fine. I just got 4GB of XMS2 to replace my 2GB of Patriot, and I still get the Boot BCD errors. Any idea?
