He didn't say, but I'd imagine it was a lot of pressure for a single primary developer, plus his stuff was getting pirated a lot.

With the improvements in handbrake is VisualHub really useful anymore? I had to convert a video this weekend and handbrake did a great job. It's all ffmpeg right?

Yea.. it is. Handbrake is wonderful, so I don't use anything else.

What I find ironic about Handbrake is the dev team back a year or two would never have branched out like they have. They touted Handbrake's success by doing one thing right, and not 50...and yet here they are.

Well, I have no problem with them taking on other endeavors. Handbrake, for DVD to File transfers, is impeccable... so why not make your product more versatile?

So far Handbrake's defaults are horrible for my iphone. VH does a much better job, probably due to the fact that you can due two-passes on material.

I'll have to try a manual job and see...

Did you update to the latest version as well as update your presets?
