Visual Studio issues

I have visual studio .net 2003
i was making web projects before and opening/saving projects to localhost
Now, when i try it, it says that the "folder http://localhost/ is no longer available"
Should i just create/open in c:\inetpub?
Any idea why this error is happening and how i can possibly fix it?

NB
If I try to create a new project and i try to browse to localhost, I get the error message above
If I just typein a localhost folder location such as http://localhost/newproject, it works
So I guess I can continue doing it this second way, its just a little inconvenient
