I'm looking to buy Visual C++
I need this for an office of say 5 programmers.
Ive looked at the cost of Microsoft open Licenses $$$ and it doesnt make much sense with so few staff. so ..
I looked at MDSN and Visual Studio Enterprise, but I dont need 90% of the stuff in that package. I simply need the VC++ environment and compiler.
So .. My question is - :
Is the Core Compiler of the Visual Studio Enterprise edition the same
as the compiler you can buy in the most basic £80 versions of Visual C++ 6.0 (the ones where you dont get all the useless stuff included)
As I could go out any buy 5 copies of the basic VC ..
Is it less optimal?.. whats the difference when you cut out all the windows stuff that I dont need making games..
?
Any thoughts..
