I wonder if anyone can answer this..

Borderlands 2 uses Visual C++ redistributables 2005, 2008 and 2010 x86 versions to work and run properly.

However, I've noticed that when I have the 64 bit versions of the software installed a long with the 32 bit, the game has more lag and stuttering with PhysX on high. Uninstalling the 64 bit versions fixes the problem.

Same thing with Batman Arkham Origins, but this game despite being 32 bit, actually requires the 64 bit Visual C++. The game installs both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Visual C++ 2010. Uninstalling the 64 bit version makes the game run worse.

So my question is, how can 32 bit games be affected by, or use the 64 bit Visual C++ redistributables?
