i think this is an OT topic more than a software/program thread, since i'm asking about the job market rather than the language itself....but if mods see otherwise please move :D

i'm an MIS major and the only elective that i could squeeze into my schedule this fall, was VBA. plus i've taken a VB.NET class with the professor and she seems like a good professor.

so, how useful is VBA? is it a valuable skill to have?

Yes, software forum would most likely prove more valuable in responses.

VBA can be very useful, at times - especially when working with smaller amounts of data (less than 200,000 records, or so). However, if you know and/or are learning VB, VBA is a rather easy step, as it is merely a subset of VB.

Depends on how much work you'll be doing in excel, access, maybe word and powerpoint. I've been learning how to use it with access and excel, and it's come in very handy.
