Vista's sleep and SLI

The sleep function is by far one of my favorite features in vista. The problem is, I just cant get it to work properly when SLi is enabled (works fine in non-SLi mode).

When my computer wakes from sleep mode I see a black screen for about 30 seconds until the vista log-in screen shows up. I attempt to log in and the aero gui seems unresponsive (taking another 30 seconds to load into windows) and I see tiny artifacts all over my screen.

For the hell of it I reinstalled windows XP and attempted to use it's standby mode with SLi enabled and it does the same thing. This suggests to me that it's a driver issue (as my mothermoard is both S1 and S3 capable).

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there some kind of fix I dont know of? Thanks for any help.

Nvidia drivers have some known and unfixed problems with sleep mode. See the release notes for any of the recent Vista drivers (32-bit for sure, but I suspect 64-bit as well). My PC just gives me a black screen when coming out of sleep. It works perfectly in XP.
