vista64 rc1 audigy 2

Make sure you disable the driver integrity/signature check (F8 at boot-time) before you attempt to install the drivers, and also every single time you boot after that (unfortunately). bcdedit doesn't seem to work anymore, so you have to disable the check at every boot as long as you want to use unsigned drivers. I finally got 5.1 sound working on my Audigy2 in RC1 x64, but it was a pain in the ass to say the least...

Which drivers did you use off the Creative site? I have the same card and have messed up one Vista install already trying to get this to work. Would you mind writing out a short procedure for install? thanks!

I had to try several times to get it to work too - I didn't realize at the time that you had to disable the driver signature check at every single boot (this was not the case with Beta2).

I'm actually using the most recent drivers for XP x64 (from January), and not the August drivers posted on Creative's site for Vista. These give me 5.1 sound and as far as I can tell even OpenAL (possibly EAX too) works without too many issues. I can't say for sure if the August drivers for Vista would be any better, but once I got this working I was kinda afraid to mess with it anymore 😛
