In Vista: Theres no Internet Explorer or CommandBar in the Reg. So you have to create 2 items:

1-Internet Explorer:

a-Start regedit

b-Go in order: HKEY_CURRET_USER, software, microsoft

2-Create new entry called "Internet Explorer" Then right click it & choose new, Key: Commandbar.

3-Click on Commandbar, click on the right side of the reg, right click, new Dword & name it Enabled.

4-Double click Enabled & the value should be 0

5-Restart IE7.

You can also remove the Search Box:

Click on the Start menu and choose Run.
Now type in ?gpedit.msc?. This opens the Group Policy editor.
Under ?User Configuration? click the ?+? next to ?Administrative Templates?. Drill down further by opening ?Windows Components? and ?Internet Explorer? in the same way.
Once you?re there, look in the right hand pane for an entry ?Prevent the Internet Explorer search box from displaying?.
Double click on that to open it up. In there click the ?enable? button Click OK and the search box should be gone. You may need to close IE7 and reopen it before you see the change.
