Vista -> XP push file transfers slow

Pretty much as the topic says.

I can pull files from an XP share to vista at 40mb/s, pull files from a vista share to XP at 40mb/s, push files to vista from XP at 40mb/s

but pushing files from vista to an xp share transfers at 4.5mb/s.

I don't have another machine to test with, unfortunately.

Both PCs sport the same hardware.

Anybody know what's going on? Any suggestions for fixing push on the vista machine? I havne
