I am not sure if this has been posted before. I didn?t see anything so here it goes. I am having a hard time getting my Vista Ultimate x64 system to recognize my XP home system. I have messed with it for quite awhile now and I figured it is time to seek some help. I have never been that good at networking stuff. I am not a total noob just not very good at it. If that makes sense. Any help would be great. Thanks for your help.

Are you just trying to fileshare between the 2 pcs? If so make sure the the Workgroup names are the same...Vista is "WORKGROUP" by default and WinXP is "MSHOME" by default, here is a link that may help:

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.
