I have a laptop running Windows Vista Business and a PC running Windows XP SP2

Both computer access the internet through same wireless router but the PC is hardwired.

I have been having trouble getting file sharing to work.

On XP i can access shared folders on Vista but not the other way around.

When i click start from Vista in network i can see the XP PC but when i try to click on it to access the files it comes up with an error message saying Windows cannot access \\XXXXX

Both computers are in the MSHOME workgroup and Vista has file sharing enabled.

All firewalls have been disabled.

I have checked everything and it just keeps coming up with the error message.

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.
