This seems to be something new to me - I have problems with almost any program or patch which modifies an exe. For example, Creative ALchemy almost never works. The Baldur's Gate Widescreen patch fails.

I just get a basic error message in each case - failure to copy. I have verified that the access permissions for that folder are set to everybody with full access, UAC turned off, same thing happens. In the creative forums I see occasionally other people with the same issue but no solution.

Anybody heard of this? I can boot to XP and it works fine.
 
For what it's worth, I've been using Alchemy for the last year without an issue on Vista x64. I'm not sure what to tell you.
