Vista x64 Mouse Acceleration

With Windows XP and Windows XP x64, I was able to use the "CPL Mouse Fix" which to my understanding editing the registry file and took out mouse acceleration. I loved no acceleration and grew very accustomed to it not being there.

I think Vista handles mouse acceleration in a different way, but I have not been able to find a method of turning it off. The closest solution I could find was on the razerblueprint forums, but after trying to "patch" the win32k.sys file, Windows would not boot and I was forced to do a system restore from the Vista CD.

Does anyone know of something I can do? I can't play first person shooters AT ALL until I get acceleration turned off, because it feels as if my mouse is broken.

Thanks

Um, what mouse are you using? Mouse acceleration can be disabled through the CP, as always.

Thats only in windows.
In XP, games suffered from the mouse acceleration not being disabled and people having to run registry hacks to try and fix it.

It sounds like this annoying issue is still there in Vista.
