Vista x64 Mouse Acceleration

I have been trying to fingd a way to turn off mouse acceleration in Vista x64 SP1. Does anyont know of any registry patches, etc that will turn off or down mouse acceleration for all applicaions (especially games COD4, Oblivion). From the way I understand it the old CPL mousefix just scaled down the mouse acceleration, which would be fine, it used to work for me in XP.
 
One of the worst things Microsoft did in XP and now it seems in Vista is to have this mouse acceleration crap.

Gamers don't want or need it and there SHOULD be a way to get rid of it without resorting to registry hacks. :|
