I was messing around with my settings and I have it at 300x10, but vista is posting 3.3GHz. What is going on?

Here were my system specs but I am messing around with them since my PC is as stable as it was when I had 2GHz in for some reason.

C2D E4500 2.2GHz @ 3.0GHz
Gigabyte P35-DS3L
Corsair XMS2 4GB of DDR2 800MHz
eVGA 8800gts 640MB @ 620/1568/1940
Antec P182
Vista Home Premium x64

Mine did that too. I think Vista takes the stock multiplier and multiplies it by whatever you're currently running at. It just kind of assumes that you have a stuck multiplier. When I ran at 333x9 (3GHz), it would say I was running at 3.17GHz (333x9.5). It seems to report 3.2GHz fine at 336x9.5 though.
