Vista x32 vs x64

So vista is coming out soon, but i'm not sure which one to get. Is the x32 version going to be better than the x64 in terms of driver support like it is now with XP?

Microsoft is only giving out HCL certification if a manufacturer produces both x32 and x64 versions of a driver. Hopefully we should see a lot more x64 drivers at launch because of this action.

And I'm not 100% sure on this but I believe that Microsoft is including both versions in the same box.

hmm, i thought i had heard through the grapevine that vista x64 wouldn't be released at the same time as the x32 version due to issues...

if not, ignore me.

Not quite, they will both be released at the same time. However, every single version is contained on one disk. The version which is installed is regulated by the product key; as pointed out by IamDavid.

To the best of my knowledge anyway.

It looks like it will probably be separate disks in the same box, different keys.

nope, same dvd

Source? The pictures of the packaging (ultimate, anyway) seem to indicate otherwise.

I have it already. Yes final. Don't ask, don't tell.

When most people hear something like that they never think that you would get it in retail packaging. 😉

32bit and 64bit are on different DVD.

Yeah, I was wondering about that since that is how RC1 arrived. I guess we'll just have to wait it out and find out for ourselves.
