I just got a new computer and added a new power supply , Geforce 7950GT OC, and an extra 2G of ram totalling 4G(all the same speed).

I have Windows fully updated WoW installed and patched fine and i turned off the indexing of all four MPQ files. Every time i play either five minutes in all the way to 45 minutes in i get the "Crash Dump" error. The BSOD is only on for a couple of seconds so i can't get the exact errors.

I'm using the Nvidia drivers that were released on June 1st. It also did it with the shipped drivers that came with the card.

Is there a way to do Memtest86+ without a floppy drive? My PC didn't come with one.

All four sticks of ram are bare. The ones in my old PC had a heat sink surrounding them and they never had a problem.

As far as cooling it has one fan pulling and another pushing air through the PC.

I can do whatever else I want with the PC for as long as I want but when I try to play WoW is the only time I have an issue. I'll try to see if UT2K4 works tonight. Maybe it's Windows way of telling me I play too much WoW.

Thanks for the reply,

Matt

Go here you have choice of bootable CD(ISO) or USB key for Memtest86+ as well as standard floppy version.

You have Vista Bro. :p Hit start, type "memory diagnostics". Go from there...

Also, grab the latest nVidia drivers from nVidia's website. There have been a lot of bugfixes to those drivers since Vista RTM

(Before I hear about it from someone...Yes it's a realmode memory diagnostic. It's similar to the MS downloadable memory diagnostic which is better than memtest.)
