My homebuilt computer won't complete booting Windows Vista. I turn it on, it runs through the bios page, starts booting windows then shuts down and tells me there's a problem starting Vista and gives me options of booting in safe mode, command prompt, etc. However, these functions don't work either. Any ideas?

System:
Asus A8n-SLI
AMD A64 DualCore
Nvidia 8800GT
4 gb Corsair DDR400
Antec P150
Antec SP-450 PSU
Note: No overclocking. and the case/boards are clean.

Boot to your Vista disk and run a repair.

Try booting with only one stick of memory. If that works, add the rest and up the memory voltage.

No, any motherboard will work with one stick. Your confused by "dual channel".

Just trying to get you a post and boot.

Have you memtested the sticks yet?
(check each stick in each slot to find a bad stick or a bad slot)
