Vista Wireless suddenly unwilling to work (TCP/IPv4 and 6 what???) FIXED!

So I went to go set up two windows vista computers (HP?? preloaded with vista home premium and dell vostro 220s with vista home basic) with internal wireless n cards(linksys wmp600n). both had usb external wireless adapters. after installing the drivers and the cards, device manager stated that they were installed and working, but opening network and sharing wizard led to being told a variance of issues. was told to reinstall the cards (i did) told to check ipv4 and 6 (i did) did a repair but was told either i had a driver or hardware issue or the internet protocol bindings were not checked (they were).
so i uninstalled the drivers i just installed and re-installed the old usb adapters. but now i can't even use those (same issues)
anyone else seen ANYTHING like this? is there some way to fix this WITHOUT the clean install?
thanks for your time friends

EDIT-Fixed this at 3:30 this morning...Kaspersky was the culprit. Once I uninstalled Kaspersky all was well. Weird. Went through all kinds of hell working on this one. Hope this helps someone...
