Vista Wireless problem

Im running Vista Ultimate 32-bit and it refuses to see my Linksys WMP54G wireless adapter. XP sees it and runs it just fine. I tried manually installing the drivers, but it didnt work. I tried taking the adapter out and putting it back in and still no luck. Has anybody else had this issue or know how to deal with it? I cant go wired because the router is across the apt and I cant really afford another wireless adapter right now(poor college student). If anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it!

I presume you mean WMP54G not 56 right? Did you download the Vista drivers for this, or did you try to install the XP ones?
