Vista Wireless Issue

I have a linksys WRT54G router connected to an Intel 3495 wireless card. The issue I am having is that Vista will say it connects to the network, but the box in the tray says I am not connected. When I goto connect it appears to be connected. I keep getting disconnected for the network and reconnecting. My pidgin signs off and websites stop loading, but then it reconnects almost instantly. I'm not sure if the issue is with the AP or the computer but I don't have another AP to test it with right now. Thanks for any help.

Is it pulling an IP? Have you previously been connected to this AP? The Vista wireless management is terrible. I can't wait until they release the ProSet for Vista. It's so mush easier to troubleshoot wireless issues with the ProSet client. I had this same issue a few weeks back. My laptop is a Dell. Supposedly, the latest driver fixes this issue.
