My Win 7 got borked so I installed it on another drive, I've been on computers since TRS-80's, this shit is frustrating for no reasons. I wanted to delete the old program files (x86) folder. I went into security, set myself as the owner, same with Auditing. I set the permission for everything. Now I see check marks next to every permission, but when I try to delete I get access denied. I checked and read only was enabled, so I unchecked it, access denied when trying to make the files deletable.
Is there a program for Win 7 that makes deleting shit not a pain in the ass? I'm about to boot into Ubuntu and just say to hell with it, but I'd like to know why they made it so difficult to delete some same files.
*EDIT*
n/m I got it, but it was a pain in the ass. let me delete shit, ask me for permission I don't care, I had to jump threw all kinds of hoops just to remove some damn directories. This is why I'm gravitating towards booting into my Ubuntu more and more.
