When I wake my computer from sleep mode it can't find any of my USB devices. Usually it will reinstall all the drivers or I can restart the computer and everything will work until I use sleep mode again. This is what my event viewer says, all of the errors are USB controllers:

Sounds like the chipset is turning off the usb power. Maybe try disable the MB power management for standby.

Have you checked the motherboard manufacturer's site for a BIOS or driver update?

We had a problem like this at work with XP.
We had to go to the each USB Root Hub in Device Manager. Right click on each and go to power management tab and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Some power saving that was added with a MS release.
